Webglobe continues its expansion: Acquires ČESKÝ WEBHOSTING s.r.o., operator of the Webhosting C4 platform

Prague, 14 December 2024
Webglobe, a major player in the Czech web hosting market, announces the acquisition of ČESKÝ WEBHOSTING s.r.o., the company behind the popular hosting platform Webhosting C4 (c4.cz). This acquisition marks another step in Webglobe’s growth strategy focused on strengthening its market position following its integration into the group.one family.
„The acquisition of ČESKÝ WEBHOSTING is not only a strategic milestone for us, but also an opportunity to welcome new customers and a talented team to the Webglobe family. We greatly appreciate the trust placed in us by the ČESKÝ WEBHOSTING team,” said Giacomo Tognoni, CEO of Webglobe. “Our goal is to ensure service continuity while opening new opportunities for growth and innovation.”
The Webhosting C4 project will operate independently during a transitional period and will gradually be integrated into the infrastructure and systems of Webglobe and group.one. This process will be carefully managed to maintain the high level of service that customers have come to expect. Former owners Jan Chyský and Jan Vítek will remain in leadership roles and work closely with the Webglobe integration team led by Pavel Špinka.
“It was crucial for us to find a partner who understands our market and can continue to develop the services we’ve built over the years. We believe Webglobe is the right choice and we look forward to a successful future together,” said Jan Vítek.
“We’re pleased that our company is joining such a strong player in the hosting market. We look forward to collaboration and sharing our experience, which will enable the further development of our services,” added co-founder Jan Chyský.
Pavel Špinka, Head of Webglobe’s integration team, added: “Our new customers can look forward to expanded possibilities – including access to modern infrastructure, advanced security features, and a broader service portfolio. At the same time, we’ll ensure continuity of all existing services they rely on. Our team is ready to provide a smooth integration and support for both new colleagues and customers.”
The transaction was led by Giacomo Tognoni and Žaneta Łazarczyk, with Igor Strečko, former Webglobe owner, serving as an advisor.
Legal advisory for the buyer was provided by the law firm Kocián Šolc Balaštík.
